  • Danielle Alcala

    Danielle Alcala is in her 6th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Hip Hop, Rhythm Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is an A Honor Roll student at her elementary school and is a member of the Elementary Honor Society. She has won 2nd place in Ready Writing competition in Los Fresnos. She has been part of the elementary dance team where they have performed in the Los Fresnos Parade, Vipers Basketball, and high school basketball games and is also a part of her Yoga club. In the future, she would like to be a dancer, fashion designer and a counselor.

  • Emma Castillo

    Emma Castillo is in her 8th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is a high school freshman and a part of the cohort and dual enrollment program with BISD and TSC. She is in the top 5% of her class taking AP and honor courses. Emma made her school's powerlifting team. She competed in four invitationals in Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association Region 5 in the 105.5 w

  • Angelina Olivarez

    Angelina Olivarez is in her 2nd year in dance. She is a Diva Dance Co member, soloist, and choreographer. Her studies include Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. An “A” Honor Roll student, her participation in Destination Imagination has taken her to Globals three times, winning 1st place with her team, and being recognized by BISD. She has participated in Estudiantina, and the Garden Park Dance Team. Her UIL involvement has earned her and her team 1st place. Being driven with compassion, she aspires to a pediatrician.

  • Isabella ibarra

    Isabella Ibarra is in her 3rd year in dance. She is a soloist, and choreographer, a Diva Dance Co member and is in the Performing Dance Co. Her studies include Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Theatre Dance, Pop Dance and Hip Hop. She has recently become a dance assistant in training at the dance studio. She is currently an active member of the choir and library club at her elementary school. She has received the “Character Award” in recognition of her outstanding cooperation with peers, positive attitude, and willingness to support her classmates. She is also an honorary member of the Los Fresnos Interact Club and is enrolled in swimming classes. In the future, she aspires to become an artist.

  • Catalina Villanueva

    Catalina Villanueva is in her 2nd year in dance. she is a soloist, and choreographer, a Diva Dance Co member and in the Performing Dance Co. Her studies include Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is currently in the Gifted and Talented program and an “A” Honor Roll student at JLA. She has also participated in cheerleading at Sombrero Fest and local parades.

CURRICulum

  • Ballet provides the classical foundation and essential techniques required for all dancers.

  • Jazz dance incorporates the pizzazz of Broadway and the precision of Rockette, utilizing the techniques of Gus Giordano and Bob Fosse.

  • Lyrical dance combines the fluidity of ballet with the rhythm of jazz, emphasizing musicality and emotional expression.

  • Using the style of Jazz, ribbons are used in choreography.

  • Pop Dance combines elements of Jazz with a gentler form of Hip Hop, catering to girls aged 7 to 17.

  • Choreography is the creation of the dancer’s unique form of dance.

  • Uses the form of Ballet, Modern and Lyrical combined.

  • Theatre Dance is a fusion of modern dance and acting, designed for girls aged 7 to 17.

  • Uses the original form of mat Pilates from creator, Joseph Pilates. Pilates helps to strengthen and connect the dancer’s body from within.

opportunities

  • Dancers will create personal choreography of solos, duets, trios and group pieces that will be presented at our end of year performance at the TSC PAC.

  • At the end of the dance school year in June, a scholarship is determined by the students, attendance, punctuality, determination, motivation, respect towards themselves and the dance program, and level and years enrolled in classes. A credit is applied to their monthly tuition beginning in September-June.

  • Dancers are taught how to teach dance and choreography.

  • Dancers are encouraged to help their community through innovative projects and invited events from local businesses.

  • Dancers are taught to find their current passion and to learn how to start a small business.

  • Through our, “New Mom Initiative”, the dancers will raise funds and create a small dance video.

  • Dancers will learn how to communicate and work with each other with a strong understanding of the world’s uniqueness.
