Danielle Alcala
Danielle Alcala is in her 5th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is also a part of her elementary dance team and is currently interested in becoming a dance studio owner and costume designer.

Katia Castilleja
Katia Castilleja is in her 7th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is also a part of her elementary dance team, Cheer team Captain in ‘23-’24”, winning 1st place at competition, in Estudiantina playing the accordion, “Jump for Heart”, Student Council Representative, a gymnast, volleyball, basketball, track/running, recognized by BISD board members for her 1st place science project, and is a 3-time participant in “Globals” for Destination Imagination and 2-time winner 1st place at “Globals”.

Emma Castillo
Emma Castillo is in her 7th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is an artist and has participated in art contests. She is currently interested in becoming a part of the art world as a lifelong career.

Lee Lauren Garcia
Lee Lauren Garcia is in her 5th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is also a part of her Destination Imagination Team at her middle school and is on her way to “Globals” this year.

Yaritza Gomez
Yaritza Gomez is in her 2nd year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography. She is an A Honor Roll student for 3 consecutive years and is a part of the Drama and Running Club at her elementary school.

Maylee Shea
Maylee Shea is in her 5th year in dance. She is a Diva DanceCo member, soloist and choreographer. Her studies include, Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Ribbons, Pop Dance, Pilates, Theatre Dance and Composition of Choreography.
CURRICulum

Ballet provides the classical foundation and essential techniques required for all dancers.

Jazz dance incorporates the pizzazz of Broadway and the precision of Rockette, utilizing the techniques of Gus Giordano and Bob Fosse.

Lyrical dance combines the fluidity of ballet with the rhythm of jazz, emphasizing musicality and emotional expression.

Using the style of Jazz, ribbons are used in choreography.

Pop Dance combines elements of Jazz with a gentler form of Hip Hop, catering to girls aged 7 to 17.

Choreography is the creation of the dancer’s unique form of dance.

Uses the form of Ballet, Modern and Lyrical combined.

Theatre Dance is a fusion of modern dance and acting, designed for girls aged 7 to 17.

Uses the original form of mat Pilates from creator, Joseph Pilates. Pilates helps to strengthen and connect the dancer’s body from within.

Dancers will create personal choreography of solos, duets, trios and group pieces that will be presented at our end of year performance at the TSC PAC.

At the end of the dance school year in June, a scholarship is determined by the students, attendance, punctuality, determination, motivation, respect towards themselves and the dance program, and level and years enrolled in classes. A credit is applied to their monthly tuition beginning in September-June.

Dancers are taught how to teach dance and choreography.

Dancers are encouraged to help their community through innovative projects and invited events from local businesses.

Dancers are taught to find their current passion and to learn how to start a small business.

Through our, “New Mom Initiative”, the dancers will raise funds and create a small dance video.

Dancers will learn how to communicate and work with each other with a strong understanding of the world’s uniqueness.
